The Adventures Of Superstoner Issue #2 Kickstarter!

The Adventures Of Superstoner Issue #2

Marijuana! Strippers! Cocaine! And A Hip-Hop Icon?!?! Get ready for the next action packed issue of The Adventures of Superstoner!
After a profitable harvest, Superstoner decides to treat the boys to a night at the strip club! Superstoner scores a date with a stripper, and takes her to see a Hip-Hop Icon... Only to find out, dating a stripper isn't as fun as it sounds!

We are back on Kickstarter!  Round 2!   We are going to give it another shot!  Our goal is to reach the funding we will need to print and promote the next issue of The Adventures Of Superstoner.  We need to print comics, posters, stickers and flyers.  We also will use the funding to put a down payment on a booth at The Southern California Cannabis Cup 2015 in Feburary for our Issue #2 Launch.  With the money made, we want to keep the momentum going and invest in participating at more large events like Hemp Fests, Art Shows, Future Cannabis Cups, And maybe even San Diego Comic Con!
Unfortunately we did not fund our last Kickstarter Project,  but we were lucky enough to scrape up some money on our own to print a few comics and other cool merch, and got a small booth at Denver Cannabis Cup 2014.  We did pretty good! Broke even on the booth fee at least!  After travel expenses, we used what was left to re-up on comics, stickers and flyers and planned our next move.  We tried to get into some comic cons, But you have to be quick, they fill up fast!  We heard about Las Vegas Amazing Comic Con last June, we couldn't get a booth, but we thought it would be good idea to go and mingle with the other comic artists and writers.  We went and had a great time!  Handed out stickers, flyers and some comics, took pictures, met cool people.  Made our presence known!
During the rest of the summer we set up little tables at local art shows, and passed out flyers at local medical marijuana farmer's markets.
For the last couple months we have been working on Issue #2!  Chipp is hard at work finishing up Superstoner #2, and Andy has been hard at work trying to get this information to You!  Hopefully with your help, we can make it!  The Adventures Of Superstoner is 100% creator owned and managed, everything from art and writing, to distribution and social media promoting.  We even made the Kickstarter Video on our phones.  That was Fun!
We have had struggles as well.  The comics sell ok at small events, but for us, t-shirts were a bad idea, they were the most expensive piece of merchandise we invested in, and they don't sell well.  We've considered them a loss and now use them for promotional giveaways!  Also, our internet sales are very sporadic, So we have plenty of comics and posters to sell!
I feel with the ups and downs of the last year, we have a good idea of what works and what doesn't.  And with your help! We can kick off Superstoner Issue #2 with a Bang!  We did great at Denver Cannabis Cup last April, and with Comic Con Season right around the corner, If we can get a Kick Ass start, we can use that momentum to take us to the next Denver Cannabis Cup in April and maybe even San Diego Comic Con in July!
We hope you can help us with our project, Thank you for taking the time to check out our Blog!  Please Check Out Our Kickstarter Project The Adventures Of Superstoner Issue #2!  Thank You again! Get High On Laughter with Superstoner!

Stoner Moments with Superstoner and Bud: Stoner's Best Friend

Stoner Moments with Superstoner and Bud: Stoner's Best Friend

Have you ever taken a hit so good you just had to pass it, only to realize the you've been holding a joint in your dog's face for the last 2 minutes?  I've done that plenty of times!  Sometimes... When you don't have anyone to smoke with, Your best bud is always at your side!

I've had lots of good dogs in my life.  The first dog I started getting high with was when I was 16, with our family dog Stinky.  I would roll a joint and watch some TV and little Stinky would come lay down next to me and enjoy the smokey area around me.  I swear that dog loved Bob Marley, would come running everytime I put him on!
Our current dog Chunk is not a big fan of the smoke, he usually lays in the hallway while we partake. Our other dog Britian on the other hand loves it!  Britain is an old chihuahua who loves being around the smoke and getting pet. Then usually taking a good doggy nap!  Chunk is a pitbull, chow mix, he's a cuddeler and loves to play.  We love our Dogs!

How long have you held out a joint to your dog?  What do you and your dog do when you're high?  Share your doggy Stoner Moments with us!  Thank you for taking the time to check out our blog!  Stay tuned, the next issue of Superstoner is in the works! Stay High!

Superstoner Issue #1 Preview

4 Page Preview of Superstoner Issue #1

"The Adventures of Superstoner" is not your ordinary comic book.  Superstoner is just a regular dude living the stoner dream!  Working at a head shop, playing video games and growing plants... Until one day...  Meth-Man moves into the neighborhood and sets up an "Operation" of sorts.  Fed up with the tweekers overrunning his neighborhood, Superstoner decides to take care of business!
Join Superstoner on his hilarious adventures, and take a "Smoke Break" with him as he educates you with informative and fun facts about Marijuana, and the other themed drug, featured in every issue.
Don't let the name "Superstoner" fool you!  This is not another Marijuana Themed Super Hero.  "The Adventures of Superstoner" is comedic satire in comic book form.  Now more than ever the demand for legal marijuana is at an all time high.  "The Adventures of Superstoner" is meant to appeal to marijuana enthusiasts, so they can share something informative and funny with their friends and family.

I wrote "The Adventures of Superstoner" because I wanted to bring a new goofy and relatable character into the comic book world, influenced by the classic drug culture comics of the 60s and 70s, such as "The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers", "Fritz the Cat" and "Zap Comix".
Check out our Website! We can use your support!  Thank you for taking the time to check us out!

Stoner Moments: Bong Water!

Stoner Moments: Bong Water!

Nothing worse than spilling bong water on the carpet!  What can you do in this situation?  Most of time we panic about the smell and try to scrub it out with dish soap, spray it down with Febreeze or pet stain cleaner, Which can usually make things worse!  Best thing to do is stay calm, lightly sweep up the resin crumbs, avoid mashing resin into the carpet, then grab an old towel and lay it on top of the spill. Press down on the spill to absorb the dirty water, remember don't scrub! After that you can use some white vinegar to pour over the spill to help remove the odor, let the vinegar soak in a little, then you're going to want to use warm water to wash away the vinegar. After that, use another dry old towel to lay over the water and press down to absorb, again don't scrub, when you're done with that, powder over the spill area with baking soda. Let the baking soda sit and dry, then use a vacuum to clean up the powder.  Depending on how old the bong water was, you might want to use a steam cleaner.  I hope this information can help you in the future. The more you know!

Have you or anyone you know ever drank bong water?   I personally have never drank bong water, but I do remember a time, Back when I was a young Stoner, I was at a back yard punk rock gig, I had a nice bong I would travel around with. Again, a young stoner, this particular night we decided to use Jack Daniel's for bong water, most of the time we would use beer, Which is fun too!  Smoking with JD bong water is pretty intense!  You can feel the alcohol vapors while you inhale.  We must have smoked at least 10 bowls out of it! After a while we got tired of the intensity and decided to switch to good old H2O. Right before I was about to pour out the dirty JD, a guy from the session asked, "You're just gonna pour out that Jack?". I replied, "What? You wanna drink it?". He said, "Yeah!" and to that I said, "It's all yours!" We gathered around and cheered him on while he chugged the bong JD.  He immediately puked after that!  As we were leaving later that night, we noticed him passed out in the bushes.  He must of had a great night!

Do you have any bong water cleaning tips?  Do you have a funny bong water drinking story? Share them with us!  Tell us about your Stoner Moments!  Thank you for taking the time to check out The Superstoner Blog!  Check out our website, Support Superstoner!!!

Stoner Moments with Superstoner and Bud!

Stoner Moments with Superstoner and Bud

We've all been there, the dog getting a little too excited and knocking the bong off the table...  Hopefully it didn't break and all you had to do was clean up some bong water!  I know at least every dog I've ever had has knocked over the bong by accident.  Never any hard feelings toward the dog.  How can you stay mad at that puppy face!  Tell us about your Stoner Moments!
Chipp and I are working on a new Superstoner side project. We want to take common stoner moments, we've all experienced, and do a funny comic strip about it. A nice, short 1 to 4 frame strip we can put out once a month.  We thought this would be a great way to start our Stoner Moments project.
We got this idea from a nice couple we met at the Denver Cannabis Cup.  Turns out we don't live far from each other! We met with Lefty and is wife Jay for lunch to talk about a possible collaboration with Medleaves.com, a Medical Marijuana Internet Directory.  Chipp and I sat down with them and stared small talk... After an hour of great conversation and getting to know each other, we got down to talking some business.  They asked us if we would like to be part of their monthly newsletter, and if we can produce a comic strip they can use every month.  They also mentioned it would be good free advertising for us!  Chipp and I thought it would be a great way to get our work out there, so we agreed!
Stay tuned for next months Stoner Moments and be sure to sign up for the MedLeaves News Letter!
Thank You

Las Vegas Amazing Comic Con!

We had a great time in Vegas this last past weekend at Amazing Comic Con!  Chipp and I arrived in town around 10pm Thursday night.  Checked into our room at The 4 Queens Casino, popped open some beers and hit Downtown Fremont St.  We walked around checking out all the cool street performers and did a little bit of gambling.  It was Chipp's first time in Vegas and Lady Luck was showing him a good time!  Me on the other hand, not so much...  We made our way to a cool bar I like to visit whenever I'm in town called Insert Coin, a video arcade themed bar!  After a few matches of Street Fighter and a couple levels in X-Men, Chipp and I headed back out to walk around some more.  We found ourselves at the Golden Nugget Casino Lounge, enjoying a sweet cover band and a beer.  After a few songs we decided to call it a night and head back to the room for some sleep.

Friday was the first day of the Con!  Unfortunately, we couldn't get a booth that weekend, but Chipp and I were there to meet other comic book creators, artist, writers, publishers, and enthusiasts.  We did some good networking, handed stickers and flyers out to anyone who seemed interested in our message.  We took a time out to watch "Cosplay Family Feud" which was very entertaining!  The Cosplayers were awesome!  After a long first day we decided to get a little rest and hung out in the room for a while,  but those Vegas lights were getting to us, so we decided to check out the town.  After a few hours of Chipp winning and me losing, we called it a night!

Saturday was FUN!  Chipp and I got to the Con early that day, made the rounds and talked to a lot of awesome people.  The cast of Evil Dead the Musical was hanging at the Con, and some of the cast members told us we had cool shirts, (Official Superstoner Shirts Available Online) gave us some buy one get one free passes for the show, and told us to be heavily medicated when we came.  We said Hell Yeah!  I'm a big fan of The Evil Dead movies and Army of Darkness, and this musical did not let us down!  Hilarious and I highly recommend making it part of your Vegas Trip!  Someone at the Con informed us about some sort of Marijuana Rally near the MGM Casino, so Chipp and I left the Con early to check it out...  Turns out it was not a Marijuana Rally, but instead it was a gathering of people getting ready to go to EDC, which is also cool!  We decided it would be better to try passing out stickers and flyers later on that evening after the Evil Dead show, maybe catching the EDC goers on their way home.  We hit The Strip early, walked around with my Superstoner Joint!  Which is a big prop joint I made with an e-cig inside so I can blow out smoke and catch peoples attention.  We talked with a few people and gave out some stickers, then we went to the Evil Dead Show.  Again, the show was awesome! Must See!  After the show we walked down the strip giving out more stickers and flyers making our way to the MGM and where we thought the EDC festivities would be...  To our surprise we found out the MGM is just where everyone meets, then people are bused to where the event was being held.  By the time we got back to our room it was near 4am.

Sunday was spending spree day!  After 2 days of checking out the booths and talking with all the different comic creators and vendors, Chipp and I made our last rounds at the Con, buying and supporting all the cool artist and writers we met.  We bought lots of cool comics and art prints, and Chipp met another cool tattoo artist and bought a sweet hand made tattoo machine from him.  We went around booth to booth saying bye to all the cool people we met that weekend, wishing them luck and telling them we will be looking forward to seeing them again at future cons.  Maybe next time we meet, we will have an awesome booth of our own!

In conclusion I have to say, I love Vegas!  And I can't wait til next years Con!

Superstoner Hits Denver Cannabis Cup 4/20 2014

Superstoner Hits Denver Cannabis Cup 4/20 2014

I have to start by saying Denver was an amazing city!  After a 14 hour drive we arrive at our hotel room around 2am. The Double Tree, a very nice place.  We check-in and the hotel clerk informs us about the "Smoking Tent" out in the parking lot. Awesome!  Moments after we get into our room, and drop our bags we were greeted by our neighbors, and invited to a session at the "Smoking Tent". How can I say no to that?   Even at damn near 3am, the tent is still lively with excited Marijuana Enthusiasts from all over the country, who can't wait for the festivities ahead.  We didn't stay long, we knew we had a big day ahead of us and we were gonna need our rest.  The next morning we hit the first coffee shop we ran into, to our pleasant surprise the Baristas greeted us in their underwear. Good Morning!  they "Popped our Cherries" for being first timers to their coffee shop, then it was off to the Cup.

The 2nd Annual Denver Cannabis Cup was an incredible experience!  I have never been to a Cannabis Cup.  I grew up reading about the Amsterdam Cannabis Cups in High Times magazines, dreaming of what the experience would be like. And i have to say, it was surreal!  I have been to Comic Cons as a regular paying customer, but this was the first time I have been on the other side of the table as a vendor.  At the Superbowl of Cannabis Culture!   It was pretty overwhelming to say the least, but once the doors opened up, and the people came in, it was really easy to talked to them and answer questions about the comic. I think we were all on that "Higher" level!

We got some Attention!  We were pretty busy that first day, I was only away from the booth maybe for a hour.  But it seems we turned a few heads, and got people into the idea of a new Marijuana themed comic book, that also brings back the classic drug culture comic style of the 60s and 70s.  The second day, 4/20! We had a few interviews lined up.  The first was done by a lovely lady named Kimm Miller, with Headed West Films and PMK Entertainment.  It was my first video interview ever, and I was Way nervous, but I think I did ok, tried to give a little info about the comic without spoiling too much of it.  The next interview was from a sweet girl named Hanna Eads. By this time I was feeling really good!  It was a nice sit down interview, she had a list of questions ready for us and recorded the conversation.  She published to interview on two sites, www.TheDailyNebraskan.com and www.WeLoveTheHerb.com.  Check out the links above to read the interview!

We Met lots of Awesome people!

Rick Cusick from High Times!  Rick is the man! The Associate Producer of High Times.  When I first emailed about getting a booth at Cannabis Cup, they sent me to Rick Cusick.  I called Rick to ask him about a booth and right away he asked me what kind of business I was in?  I told him I was a comic book writer and we just finished our book and we wanted to launch the sales at the Cup.  After a great conversation about comic books, he told me he would send the information and would make sure we were there!  When we got to the Cup saturday morning, we met with Rick and he had  a great spot set aside for us, right near the entrance to the outdoor part of the event.  He is a busy man and I didn't want to take to much of his time, so I thanked him for the opportunity, and told him to stop by the booth once we were all set up.  The next day, 420! He came by the booth and we had a chance to take a picture with him and hooked him up with a few comics and a t-shirt.  Thanks Again Mr. Rick Cusick for the opportunity and the experience!

The Lovely Emily Aryn "Miss High Times 2012"!  In the weeks leading up to Cannabis Cup, admits the Instagram hype, I had a few brief back and fourth comments with Emily, I told her I can't to meet her at the Cup.  Early sunday morning, 420!  She came by our booth to meet us.  She was a super sweet gal!  and she wished us the best of luck with our comic launch.  We couldn't let her go without giving her a comic and taking a picture with her.  Thank You Emily for coming by the booth and saying hello!

Hip-Hop Legend Funkdoobiest!  When I was out walking around enjoying the Cup, I came across this guy puffing on a fat green blunt, so I had to check it out.  Turns out, I smoked the best blunt of my life with Hip-Hop Legend Funkdoobiest.  Now Funkdoobiest might not be hugely popular, but growing up in the 90s Los Angeles, you heard the name and the music of Funkdoobiest, especially if you're into Marijuana influenced Hip-Hop such as Cypress Hill.  But I have to admit, I didn't know what Funkdoobiest looked like, so as we were puffin this blunt I mention to him I'm selling a comic book in side, he tells me he's out here chillin, but he's working on a new album, I ask him what his name is, he tells me it's Funkdoobiest, I say, "Wait a minute... You're Funkdoobiest?... I know you! I know your music! Damn man lets take a picture!"  He was down with that, and we finished the blunt.  Let me tell you about the blunt!  It was a Tied Stick Hash Blunt wrapped in fresh Marijuana leaves.  Best Blunt I ever smoked! Thank You Mr. Funkdoobiest!

Famous Glass Artist Jerome Baker!  A few booths down from us, Jerome Baker was blowing glass! The first bong I ever owned was a Jerome Baker Designs Bong, it was an 18th birthday present from a friend, a dear old high school buddy, who I had to message  right away to let her know I met JB!  He was a nice guy! Gave us shirts and coasters! One of the guys at his booth bought a comic from us, a cool dude by the name of Ian.  JB let us know he checked out the comic and thought it was pretty cool.  We gave him a copy of the comic, then he and his crew took a picture with me and my buddy Cory. Showing off those Cannabis Cups!  It was cool to meet the guy who blew your very first glass pipe.  I have a lot of memories of the Bong! Thank You JB!

A Honor to meet Tommy Chong, one of our hugest influences!  Waiting in line to meet Tommy Chong, my heart was pumping.  Even though I met him before in a comedy club in Tempe.  But this time I was excited to give him a copy of our comic book.  When it was our turn to meet him we walked right up to him and introduced ourselves, we told him we were comic book creators and he replied, "My favorite kind of people" I was star struck!  Tommy took the time too look over our comic, giggling a little as he turned the pages.  We asked if he could sign a few copies for us, and he was happy too. He gave us an A+ grade!  This was the best thing that could of happened at the Cup for us!  Thank You Tommy Chong for the Approval, and we hope you enjoy the comic!

Another Star I saw, but wasn't able to get a picture with was Punk Rock Legend Henry Rollins!  We were working hard at the booth, talking to people, selling comics, when I look up and see a grey haired man walking toward our booth.  I think for a moment, "Hey that guy kinda looks like Henry Rollins..."  then he walks by and I turned into a screaming teenage Beatles fangirl.  "Holy Shit! That is Henry Rollins! Oh Shit! Oh Shit!"  He was walking through the Cup being followed by a camera crew, people were running up to him handing him stuff, and sure enough I was too.  I ran up to him, shouted I was a big fan, and asked him to take my comic.  He took it, gave me a smile and a nod, and continued to walk the Cup.  I Hope he gets a chance to check out the comic!

4:20 on 4/20

4:20 on 4/20 was like a Utopian Paradise!   Around 4:00 on sunday we noticed it was getting a little quite inside the indoor booth area.  We decided to cover the booth up and head outside for the 4:20 on 4/20 celebration!  The whole crowd of nearly 40,000 people was engulfed in a cloud of smoke!  It was an awesome sight. The count down, the passing of blunts and joint, the music blaring, the guy on stage hyping up the crowd! "Cannabis is going to save the World! It's going to save the economy! It's going to heal the sick! It's going to bring World Peace!..."  I just took it all in... It truly was a glorious sight to see and be apart of.

Over-all Experience

Over-all I had a great time!  I feel like we were a part of history! Being at the first ever, fully legal, open to the public, and the largest Cannabis Cup in history.  I'm glad we launched sales of our comic book in Denver 4/20, and was apart of the history.  We did well, we sold over a hundred comic books that weekend, but more importantly, we got our work out there for the the world to checkout.  And that was the Goal!  I really hope we caught some peoples attention, and I hope people will enjoy Superstoner and his Adventures to come!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!  Now Go! Get High!

When was the last time you read a funny, stoner comic book?

My buddy and I have been working on a comic book idea called...

“The Adventures of Superstoner”

Superstoner is a comedic adventure through marijuana culture and its history.

(Rough draft cover of the 1st issue)

Superstoner is a throwback style reminiscent of “The Freak Brothers” or “Fritz the Cat”. Think of Superstoner as a cross between Looney Tunes and Cheech and Chong.

(rough draft samples of some artwork in the comic book)

“The Adventures of Superstoner” was created by Chipp, the artist, and Andy, the writer. We have multiple stories written and are hoping to launch our first print before summer.
